Crystallized Azurite

Rough stone

Features

The crystallized Azurite presented here is in its natural form, as a rough stone. The photos correspond exactly to the stone you will receive: it is a unique piece, carefully selected for the quality of its crystallization and its origin. This specimen is untreated, and retains all the mineral characteristics specific to its place of origin, Morocco.

This specimen shows the natural presence of white calcite and green malachite, two minerals frequently associated with Azurite in the oxidation zones of copper deposits.
Calcite appears here in the form of small, white granular aggregates, while malachite adds a touch of green, contrasting with the deep blue of Azurite.
These mineral associations are typical and bear witness to the geochemical conditions in which this crystal was formed.

It is quite normal for Azurite crystals to be small in size. Azurite crystallizes naturally as small crystals, rarely exceeding one centimeter in size. Specimens several centimetres in size are exceptionally rare...and can only be found in museums!

Even fine or discreet, these crystals retain all their qualities, whether for collecting or for use in lithotherapy.

Azurite

Azurite is a basic copper carbonate. It forms in the oxidation zones of copper deposits, where water, air and minerals interact slowly over centuries. This natural process gives rise to crystals of intense blue to azure blue, sometimes almost violet, of great visual richness.

With a hardness of 3.5 to 4 on the Mohs scale, azurite is a relatively soft stone, which explains why it is often found as rough stone or in mineralogical collections, rather than cut as jewelry. It crystallizes according to the monoclinic system and occurs as prisms, rosettes or massive aggregates, depending on growth conditions.

It is sometimes associated with Malachite, another green stone resulting from the same copper alteration process. The two can be combined in the same room, creating spectacular contrasts of blue and green.

Lithotherapy - Benefits and virtues

Azurite is a stone associated with intuition, clairvoyance and etheric vision. It acts on the 6ᵉ chakra, known as the 3ᵉ eye (Ajna) chakra, promoting subtle perception and spiritual awakening.

Azurite in its crystallized form is particularly useful for accessing higher levels of consciousness and for working on the causal subplane of the sixth chakra. It is recognized for its role in the development of clairvoyance and intuition.

How to use Azurite

The use of crystallized Azurite in lithotherapy varies according to the objectives sought:

🔹 In meditation:
Held in the dominant hand or placed directly on the forehead (6ᵉ chakra), crystallized Azurite is reputed to promote intuition and open up to a more subtle form of inner vision.

🔹 In triangulation:
This is one of the most effective methods. Used in a triangulation protocol, crystallized Azurite acts synergistically on the forehead chakra, enhancing intuition and clairvoyance. The triangular effect allows energy to flow smoothly.

Use three Azurite crystals of similar size.

- One placed on the third eye chakra (center of forehead)
- Two others held in each hand.

🔹 As an elixir:
Crystallized Azurite can also be used to make vibratory elixirs, designed to accompany practices of inner vision and work on the subtle planes. In particular, it is used in formulas dedicated to clairvoyance.

Did you know?

Azurite is a fascinating mineral, appreciated since ancient times for its deep, vibrant blue.

It has been used as a pigment since the earliest civilizations, notably in cosmetics and paints. Traces of azurite powder have been found in ointment jars dating back to the Egyptian IVᵉ dynasty, over 2600 BC.

The very name"Azurite" originates from the Persian word "Lazhward", meaning "blue" and evoking the celestial color with which this stone has been associated for centuries.

Today, Azurite continues to seduce with its natural beauty and the quality of its crystals. Morocco, in particular the Touissit and Tazalarht regions, is renowned for supplying some of the world's finest crystallized specimens, often well-formed and of remarkable intensity.

But it's also in Mexico, in the famous Milpillas mine, that azurites of exceptional mineralogical quality are found. These crystals are characterized by an extremely deep blue, rare transparency and vivid brilliance. Their sometimes flattened crystallization and clean, aesthetic shapes make them highly sought-after collector's items.
